Sweet Little Crowns

Sweet Little Crowns

I was asked to make crowns for a twins birthday party. Jessica asked that the little girls crown have a girlie element. We mulled a few things over but when it came down to making it work a flower seemed like the best fit. I asked my momma to make one out of felt vs. me crocheting one. She made the perfect little flower...and check out the little leaves, there isn't much she can't do.  I am ordering some felt and she will make some flowers that will adorn some crowns and hats to be released in a ready to ship sale in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned...you won't want to miss the cuteness. Enjoy!

My sister-in-love is a avid OSU fan and she approved of this one so I was excited to share it with you all.

Also these look great paired with shirts from Red Dirt Tees.

New Opportunities

Sorry things have been quiet over here on the blog. Orders have been coming in and I had a fun opportunity come up.
The middle of November I was approached by Jessica with Loveleigh Creative Soul to make a few items for a trunk show she was having at Showplace Market in Moore, OK.
Jessica's Oklahoma City Thunder shirts have been some of my favorite for a while now so I was honored she asked me. I put some time and thought into the designs and love how it all came together.
You can currently find both Jessica's designs and several of the scarves in her booth at Showplace Market. You can also order from our shops as well.

I will post more about these scarves tomorrow along with some OU and OSU inspired Oklahoma cowls. I have loved creating these, the pattern and design is an Oikos Handmade original. I also will be receiving my first Loveleigh Creative Soul shirt soon and can't wait to share more with you all.

Weaving Thru Wonderland

Have you seen the awesome new hat that was added to the shop a few weeks ago?

t has become my favorite hat to make and a best seller. It can truly be made in any color. You can also choose between no pom pom, faux fur pom pom, or a yarn pom pom. It is sure to be your favorite accessory this winter. What color would you choose?

My Two Favorite Graphs

My two favorite graphs that I have designed are the aztec graph and the leopard print graph. Recently two ladies made beautiful hats with these to graphs and I just had to share.
Amanda with A Little Bit Wild Couture made this beautiful leopard print beanie. I loved her color choices and who can resist a big pom pom?

Next up is the Aztec Graph on a beanie. Savannah with Hadaly Handmade used it to make a beanie and I LOVED how it turned out. Her color choices caught my attention immediately. IMG_6815Beautiful work ladies! Make sure you check out their Facebook pages as well as follow them on Instagram.
If you crochet have you tried out the Graph Beanie Pattern? If so what is your favorite graph? If not check out the pattern here along with several fun graphs.

Granny Square Ring

Pinterest is full of wonderful ideas and inspiration. I found the blog Kootoyoo through pinterest several months ago and fell in love. She has some beautiful blankets, scarves, a fun watch band, jewlery and I found a beautiful crochet granny square ring. I pulled out the smallest hook I had, 1.30mm and grabbed some crochet thread. These little rings were so much fun. I have already worn one of them for a couple of days now and trying to decide what other colors I need. I love making something fun I can wear every day. What color(s) would you do one in? Enjoy!
