During the 1940s Nazi occupation of Norway, wearing traditional red pointed hats became a powerful, silent act of defiance so impactful they were eventually banned. Today, as the weight of the world feels heavy and hope fragile, these hats stand as a reminder that creativity and making remain bold acts of resistance. For me and my daughter, wearing them is a way to say we refuse to be silent, that we stand firmly against oppression and injustice. Art has always been political, and now more than ever, it’s our voice. Teach them young!
